Our Work

Grassroots
Activism.

Organizing, mobilizing, and building community power to advance economic justice for African Americans — from the ground up.

People Power. Real Change.

Grassroots activism is EJAA’s engine for building people power. We identify issues, organize communities, develop leaders, and take collective action to win economic justice in our neighborhoods. When we come together, we are unstoppable.

Our Approach

5 Core Activities. One Powerful Movement.

1. Organize

We build relationships, listen, and bring people together around the issues that matter most.

2. Train Leaders

We equip everyday people with the skills, confidence, and support to lead change in their communities.

3. Run Campaigns

We take on winnable fights that create real change and improve economic conditions for Black families.

4. Take Action

We mobilize our communities to show up, speak out, and hold decision-makers accountable.

5. Build Partnerships

We work with churches, local organizations, Black-owned businesses, and allies to multiply our impact.
